Help clean up after!  At the end of the meal when your host begins to clear the table - offer to help!  “Can I help you?” or “Let me help you” as you stand to help carry cups back to the kitchen.  You can also offer to wash the dishes.  This is for men and women!

It’s very possible your host will not let you clean (especially if it’s your first visit), but it’s important that you offer (ask).  Your host will appreciate it and remember it.
