AusE-Phrase now has video of Australians talking in everyday language, with slang and expressions!

Every month for 2010 will see a new video added!

The great thing about these videos is that they are natural.  The people featured are not actors and there is no script or direction for them.  They just talk about the first thing that pops into their head, as they would in any social situation!

From what they say a transcript is created and any slang or expressions that they use is highlighted and linked to pages of explanation on AusE-Phrase.

They are not told to use any slang, just to talk naturally.

In this way students of English can practice listening to real Aussies speak real Aussie English, with the option to stop and replay the videos as they need.

Activities to help students retain new learning of slang and expressions will soon follow so watch this space!
